Enron: ten years on
It's been almost five years since Enron filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on 2 December 2001 – the same length of time that former CFO Andrew Fastow is likely to spend behind bars after a judge sentenced him to six years yesterday.
So, what odds on Fastow writing a warts-and-all insider view of what, at the time, was the world's largest bankruptcy and publishing it on the tenth anniversary in 2011? (You have to admit the date is rather compelling.)
And, what odds on Fastow then giving the proceeds from book sales to victims that suffered financially from the energy giant's collapse?
After all, his willingness to help victims recover their losses was one of the main reasons that US District Judge, Ken Hoyt, gave him such a light sentence in the first place.
Any bookies out there?

Wow!, this is top-notch excellent piece. Theoretically I'd like to write such as this as well - taking time and genuine effort to produce a reasonable written piece... but yet what can I say... I procrastinate a lot rather than seem to get something basically finished

You actually raise some good points, then again I do believe your actual analysis has been off base, fantastic piece of writing though, good luck. Jane
